Cops Wrongly Raid 86-yo Man’s Home, Taser and Arrest Him for Cooking Soup
Technically he was arrested for harassing the police officers. For bleeding on them, maybe, I’m not sure. But the soup was apparently not mentioned in the indictment.
This was a wrong-house raid intended to be inflicted on a possibly suicidal person. Is it just me, or are we seeing more and more stories where cops are called to stop someone from harming himself, and they show up in force and promptly harm that person good and hard?
I’ve said it before: If ‘officer safety is paramount,’ everyone would be much better off on balance if the police just stayed home.

There is an app for that. You sign people up in your group just by having them add the app. When in trouble, alerts go out and folks are aware you have an issue, can respond if necessary.
Gotta be in cell phone coverage though. Mine is so spotty at home, I never turn my phone on.
Imagine getting your neighbors on the app so that if any of you have a problem, your closest neighbors would know about it and help mitigate. Even allows canceling an alert.
I’m not using it yet as it still seems buggy but I’ll give them a few months be4 I try it.

Cookix’s app idea won’t work in NYC. Only the Police have guns….
