Not since I graciously permitted him to survive he outgrew his terrible chewing phase. Sure, when he was a puppy he had a regular treasure pile. But when he became a dog he put aside puppyish things. I couldn’t even get him to chase a stick.
But that was then. Now he loves his Sumo.

It’s got treats inside. And in the almost two months he’s had it, he never has learned how to get them out in any systematic way. He just knows that if he fiddles with it enough he gets a treat.
Weekend before last Dharma came to visit. Little Bear likes Dharma fine, but he wasn’t willing to share his toy with her by so much as a sniff. When interposing himself didn’t convince her, he physically redirected her away from it. He’s not normally that possessive about stuff. But being a dog, he does understand property rights.
