The email address I use for this blog is a fossil still lying around from days when Cubicle Rat Joel spent a lot of company time on fora and called himself John DeWitt. I’m unaware of ever having joined a group, but suppose it’s possible. It’s been a busy 13 years. Still, unaware.
So imagine my surprise, this morning, when Yahoo wanted a little chat with me about one of those groups to which I may or may not actually belong…
So…I dunno…welcome? To the one new member in 13 years? Really, I dunno. Maybe I should go to the trouble of unsubscribing, but why hurt their feelings? If there’s really anybody still in there.

Hmmm… I was a member of that group about 13 years ago too… and I’ve never gotten any such notification. No idea if I ever actually “unsubscribed” either.
I would suggest you not respond to this at all… who knows who is using things like this for what these days. And it is pretty easy for malevolent people to seize outdated and neglected groups like these, I would think.
Elias Alias (owner of TMM) might know something about the current status. He uses such social media a lot these days. I’ll send you his contact info in email if you want to ask him.
