Oh, that’s just mean.

Still going on about the weather here at always-fascinating TUAK, because it’s early January and weather is the only thing going on.

Woke this morning at dawn and it had clearly stayed clear and gotten very cold overnight. As cold as it’s been all winter so far, which isn’t that out of line in the second week of January. Then as soon as the sun should have cleared the ridgeline and started giving my solar panels a boost, heavy clouds rolled in and now it’s almost 9:30 and I can’t see a blue patch anywhere. So that’s a hat trick for Uncle Murphy – snow, then clear skies and bone-chilling cold, then heavy clouds in the day. Later I have all that lovely mud to look forward to, but probably not today. I spent half an hour piling on layers and shivering until the woodstove heated up and started to bite, and now it’s really quite comfy. But as has been so often so this winter, I have to be moderate with the ‘tricity. So later, maybe…
