QoD: On Naming Snow Storms

“The first blizzard of January shall be called ‘winter’. The next blizzard shall be called ‘winter’. Repeat until the robins come back or the glaciers kill us all.”

    Indeed…

And I am really sick of the constant and bogus “severe weather warnings.” Talk about crying wolf. I usually read them because, well, you never know… but this morning I learn that the “hazardous weather” is the probability, only probable mind you, of 1 to 2 inches of snow and wind. Up to 32 MPH. Oh yeah, I’m quaking in my boots. Blowing snow is not a fun thing to be out in. I’m well aware of that. My house even has windows!! I don’t need the National Weather Service to tell me about it.
