Ian unexpectedly showed up with a whole bunch of parts for Landlady’s new kitchen cabinetry that’s going in this month (All has been unloaded safely, Landlady) and care packages for Joel!
I got 100 empty .44 Spl cases, which gives me a sufficiently reasonable quantity that I won’t be working the brass to death. And they came in nice Case-Gard boxes, which are darned useful. Thank you very much!
A couple of readers who wanted the Solar Electric book but don’t do Paypal sent me $5 apiece, always welcome.
And I should have kept that $2.50 I spent yesterday in my pocket, because wonder of wonders reader Karen hit Amazon and sent me a gift of a whole bunch of canned meat! There’s roast beef, and canned ground beef which I didn’t know anybody did that, and a whole case of canned sausage! Thank you from the bottom of my stomach!
Seriously, thanks for thinking of your old Uncle Joel.

That sounds cool! Happy Thanksgiving!
I didn’t know about canned ground beef either. Can we hope for a review?
While waiting for the official review, I’ve tried canned ground beef by Werling and Yoders. In each case, the taste was just what I’d expect, but the texture was a little bit different. My home canned ground beef is the same way. It’s not an unpleasant texture, just different. But it’s great for casseroles or tacos or sloppy joes or soup or spaghetti sauce.
