I mentioned yesterday’s unexpected rain. Well, since it came out of the south it was likely to make the wash that comes out of the south run with much water. And unless you have a 4-wheeler, the only way out to the pavement is to cross that wash in two different places. If you don’t have one, there you are.
And so it did, and so it was. Last time Landlady was here she was stranded in the same situation; her bitsy foreign car wouldn’t cross the muddy washes.

Today wasn’t quite as bad as that, but why take chances? We scoped out the crossings, then Darrel the Former Cop came out with his box grader to smooth them out where the water had cut into the banks. And I followed behind her car until she was definitely clear.
