Everybody who wants to enslave me promises to make me free.

The leftists promise I’ll be free to “feel safe” if only I submit to anti-gun regs so onerous I’d end up in Gitmo or dead for carrying a flashlight in my pocket.

The rightists promise I’ll be free of scary brown people if only I submit a work permit request (Form I-9) in triplicate to the proper office of the Department of Homeland Security and check back in a month or two. In the meantime suck it up, citizen! Food and shelter aren’t as important as security.

Freedom. They keep using that word.
