‘What’s inconceivable to you is inevitable to us.’

Nancy Pelosi on why American representative democracy is a bad thing:

“It’s a matter of time,” Pelosi said Thursday during a press briefing in the Capitol. “It might be inconceivable to the NRA that this might happen; it’s inevitable to us.”

“Something must be done, because that’s what the American people expect and what they deserve,” she said. “We’re just not taking no for an answer.”

I’m an American people, Nancy, and you don’t seem to give a damn what I expect and/or deserve.

But go ahead and pass your law if you can. I can’t stop you. But I can help make it futile. You’re not getting my guns, gear or ammo.

Oh dear, as a foreigner, I’d better not communicate my thoughts about governments only existing by the consent of a majority* of those whom they seek to govern.

It might be seen as incitement.

    *I’m in that smallest minority – I don’t consent.

    Betcher ass, Nancy.

You keep right on using those words. I’m sure they mean just what you think they mean.
