My modem and I are barely on speaking terms lately, but I do love my electrical system. Yesterday was the blackest, stormiest day in the past year, and we didn’t see any direct sunlight today until after noon. But those year-old panels still give me some power even with heavy clouds, and no sooner did we get blue sky this afternoon than the charge controller started flashing its “full charge” signal. I’ve got two used 186-amp/hour batteries I didn’t have a lot of faith in at first, but they work fine. I haven’t had a low-power cutoff since installing the system; it’ll be a year ago next month. We may have cake.
I may have the stupidest dog, the sorriest firearms and the worst vision in the desert southwest, but there’s nothing wrong with my electrical system, by God.
Heh.

I should be able to afford your book this week. Sorry to say it’s not all of Idaho but two of us my Mom and I will be learning the Joel system of cheap solar.
Bully!

When you think of all the things people have that DON’T work from day to day, and how vulnerable most of us are to every little glitch, having one important thing like that be so reliable is pretty wonderful.
And your dog is not either stupid… just opinionated. 🙂 And set in his ways…
Ghost is opinionated and set in his ways. Little Bear is stupid.
I’m “anonymous” up there… don’t know why. I put in all my info.
I’ve had lots of dogs, and most of them were “not smart” to one degree or another. But then, I tried hard not to expect too much more than the love and loyalty they have always given in overflowing amounts. Not really that bad a trade. 🙂 Well, most of the time anyway. LOL
