You guys probably take payment for your labor in scrap lumber, right?

Because this clean-up gig is finally starting to pay off…

Yeah. By most people’s standards, I have no life. 🙂

I think you are doing pretty well. You don’t have to call anybody “massa”. Except maybe the land lady.

Great! It’s never too soon to start thinking about next winter.

By the way; from your winter posts, it looked like you wouldn’t empty your woodshed thanks to hardwood, lair wrap/new siding, larger woodshed and a mild winter. So how much wood did you have left over?

  3. Joel says:

About 3/4 of the last tier of pallet wood, and the last tier which is old juniper. Enough for a few weeks.

I have to haul it all out of there to correct some oversights/inadequacies in my woodshed, then I’ll re-stack it such that the juniper gets used up next season.

Free building materials – keeps it out of the landfill – good for the environment – recycling. Far more real world value then the green weanies driving Volvos, wearing Birkenstocks.

It’s the opinion of “some people” that helps keep you out there, anyway. Looks like a good haul to me.

Heh. I’ve taken payment in many forms, including a mil-surp sleeping bag.
