And I’m like, no f*cking way.
And they’re like, way.

There is no cartridge so ludicrous that somebody hasn’t chambered a pistol for it.
Truly painful-looking .gif at the link.
I’m gonna go ahead and guess that – if this company actually sold any of these idiotic things before it went out of business – each was fired a maximum of once in its existence.

That makes this .45-70 wheel gun look downright practical!

I actually own a custom built .50 AE revolver ,(I don’t know ‘why’ ,don’t ask).It is hard enough to shoot, let alone the BMG.
Actually,I get more enjoyment out of offering to let friends shoot my 50 then I ever got shooting it myself!!
I rented a Ruger Super Duper Redhawk in .454 Casull one time many years ago and had a ball with it – inadvertently driving everybody else off the range, but I didn’t mean to. Hey if the range didn’t want paying customers driven away, why rent the pistol?
In those days I was kind of a recoil junkie and bigger was better. I’ve gotten over that. I can shoot a lightweight .44 Magnum, but have no desire to go bigger just because.
Ben, my friend has the 45-70 revolver, it is a blast (literally) to shoot. Recoil is not bad due to its weight. The best part is when other folks at the range want to try it. It’s worth $1.50 a shot to watch the reaction of others shoot it.
Holy smackers. The free-country, because-I-can part of me loves it; the rest of me simply can’t gather enough palms to stick my face in.
Love this note down under the clip:
“Sorry about whoever filmed this vertically, I assume they were too much in awe of this gun to think straight.”
Actually the vertical format may have been on purpose, to catch what I’d expect the muzzle flip on that beastie. (It looked like far less than I’d have guessed.)
So…how long before one gets into Miculek’s hands? 🙂
The Contender pistol was offered in 375 H&H. Back in the mid 70s someplace, Soldier of Fortune had an article on it.
Back in the 1980s some guys in England had a pistol chambered for one of the cannon rounds (I think it was one of the smaller 20mm ones)
Even back then it was said to cost ÂŁ5 ($15 to $20 US at the exchange rates of the time) per shot for powder.
certainly wouldn’t be wise to fire it into a head wind.
I was the only 14 year old kid in the world to fire a 50 cal 1 shot handgun there are actually a few different 1 shot 50 cal pistols
