It may shock you to learn…

…that the book project has come back to life. There may be a major announcement soon.

Of course, there may not. Right now it’s not really in my hands.

I just got done reading “The Last Faithful Man”. Wow, what a page turner! Reminded me a bit of “Count Belisarius”. I really appreciated your comments at the end too, on the nature of power.

Look at the bright side, these days we no longer kill babies on a stone altar. I guess there is progress after all.

One more to go, “The Scroll of Jeremiah”.

Maybe, maybe not, Joel, but as the title says, you never completely lose.
There’ll be water if God wills it.

Book’s coming back to life! Yay!

Now I’d just like the throttle the person who promised to help publish it, then left you hanging without word, without income, and without clue for all those months.

If they discovered they couldn’t keep their commitment for whatever reason, they should have at least had the decency to keep you posted and/or hand the project back to you.

I’m really glad you were able (I presume with somebody else’s help) to make the book happen. Bless whoever did it for you. Really looking forward to reading this.

No, I can’t agree. My generous benefactor also has a life (and is an indie writer with actual sales, which is time-consuming) and if travel and illness got in the way of a major timesink of a favor to someone to whom he owes nothing, I have no room to complain. It’s true communication broke down at one point, but – as usual – that was at least 50% my fault. I’m not bitching, I’m just glad it’s moving.

  5. Claire says:

I know you’re not bitching & you never have.

And I know how life gets in the way of many things (not least being volunteer efforts, which I know can easily be put aside). The lack of communication is always the thing that bothers me most in such situations, but if you say that was also your doing, I’ll quit complaining on your behalf.
