Unfortunately this is the only one that exists, and we can’t see it shoot. But I need one anyway.
I gather that, despite never having existed as more than a few prototypes, this gun is alive and well and extremely popular among the pixelated denizens of several video games.
Ian, being Ian, took the opportunity to completely disassemble and photograph every part of the one remaining specimen. So you 3D printer mavens: Get the hell busy, wouldja? Uncle Joel has a jones.

At 240 rounds per minute you could empty the ten-round drum in 2-1/2 seconds. As mentioned, the drum change sequence would have had to be made way simpler for the thing to be even remotely practical. To me, this alone makes a pump-action more realistic while demonstrating a severe limitation imposed by a drum feed on a gun using ammo as large as shotgun shells.
Interesting design study, though, even if not quite “ready for prime time”.
Thanks to Ian.
