So I went into Landlady’s powershed for a reason having nothing to do with packrats, and found it a little difficult to open the door. Pushed harder, got inside, and found a big strip of ceiling insulation hung up on the battery shelves…

And the reason it had happened wasn’t hard to find.

It must have seemed like such a good idea at the time. Up high in the nice quiet building, safe from all predators, not even any worries of getting caught by the occasional intruding human (may ratallah curse them and all their progeny).
Until the moment when the weight of nest contents plus rat exceeds the holding capacity of staples through paper, and then…
It’s a problem of equity. Why aren’t rats welcome in engineering classes, anyway?

They may not be in engineering classes but they always seem to be in lawyer classes.
