Internet titles that make no smallest bit of sense

11 Times Gaby Espino Totally Slayed Your Entire Life

It’s the title. Who the $%^& is Gaby Espino, and how did she slay my life?

I don’t care enough to actually click the link and find out. So please forgive if doing so slayed your entire life. Totally or otherwise.

I just don’t get it.

I have no idea who Gaby Espino is, and she certainly didn’t slay my life. I have never, to the best of my knowledge been slain. Much less “slayed”…which I’m pretty sure isn’t even a word.

They will do anything to get you to click. In this case, I wouldn’t be surprised to discover that the title was purposefully nonsensical in hopes of inducing curiosity.

Surely I’m not the only person to figure out that any Internet title with a number in it is particularly likely to be clickbait. So with your above title I would have seen “11”, and then my eyes would have automatically moved on to something else with no thought of clicking.

I’m with jabrwok…always thought slew was the past tense of slay…

Well there is two minutes I will never get back. I should have caught on by the fact it was a Buzz Feed link. I can’t help but thing that today humanity has access to the total sum of human knowledge and we piss it away on things like Gaby Espino. Well at least she looks good.
