See, now, this is sincerity.

It’s stupid, but it’s sincere.

The set-up: A bunch of suicide bombers went out to, um, celebrate a religious holiday or something, you know, just the way right-wing Christians do it. One of them apparently got his suicide belt from Harbor Freight and it didn’t work. Imagine his surprise and dismay to find himself still corporeal at the appointed time…

“They were supposed to commit suicide using their suicide belts because today is the anniversary of the Isra and Mi’iraj celebration,” Peshmerga Lt. Col. Salim ak-Surji reportedly told the Turkish News Agency Rudaw.

“He told me ‘all of us must be in heaven by 4 p.m., kill me,” the officer said.

The article doesn’t mention if the Peshmerga left him alive just to be mean.

Immediately thought of the movie “Heaven Can Wait”. Probably not related, plot-wise. Religion can be pernicious

That’s really sick… I absolutely can’t understand why any human being would accept this death culture.

But yeah, I would have left him alive too… not to be mean or anything… heh heh heh

  3. The more of those individuals who blow themselves up, the better. Just don’t want to see them take anyone with them.

  4. Mark Matis says:

Not even his fellow religious soulmates, Harry Flashman? And the “leaders” of the West who enthusiastically invite them into Western nations???

  5. Joel says:

While I’m generally in agreement with Harry, I’m sure exceptions could be found…
