And this, ladies and gents, is why you need a good holster.

And a belt to hold your pants up. And a (much much) better plan for your whole life.

“Hey, mister! You dropped your gun!”

You really can’t fix stupid you know. Lots of folks get by without a holster. The secrets are body location and practice. As for this chump, it looks like he was trying to be “gangsta.” Lucky the gun didn’t go off in his pocket, and shoot his nuts off. On second thought, that would have been better since he wold have been removed from the gene pool.

Looks to me like there’s no magazine in, or even any grip panels on the pistol. When she moves it around you can see right thru the grip area, and it’s open and empty.

Man, what a putz. He could have gotten himself shot for brandishing a two-pound paperweight.

I saw that and thought the same thing. Back when self-defense was more often illegal and few peaceable urban people carried, it was fairly common for armed robbers to carry unloaded guns. They didn’t really want to hurt anybody, the penalty for doing so being much harsher than that for armed robbery.

Gun grabbers largely put a stop to that by lobbying for draconian sentencing for any crime committed while carrying a gun regardless of outcome, so innocents became more likely to be harmed by someone more afraid of being caught than of shooting a victim.

This character was so obviously an amateur he probably fell into the “didn’t really want to hurt anybody” box.

Gotta say, except for the initial shock reaction, that gal remains pretty cool and collected. She grabbed up the gun (likely compromising fingerprints), goes to the door and locks it, puts the gun on the counter and attends to further door locking, all without seeming to be upset or excited.

Maybe it’s not her first rodeo?
