And that buzzard or another just like it made another stop at the watering station…

Like it or not, your Lair is looking like a very cozy and homey place.

  2. coloradohermit says:

From humble beginnings – very impressive!

  3. Zelda says:

What coloradohermit said – indeed it is impressive. You’ve done good.

  4. Tim McCann says:

Now you need a carport for the jeep.

  5. jabrwok says:

Nice! That area between the Lair and the Jeep just begs for a deck and a hot-tub though. I suppose Tim’s suggestion of a carport would work too:-).

  6. Winston Smith says:

Very Nice! I didn’t realize you were so far out. May I ask how you access your Internet?

  7. Midwestmike says:

Whose house is that in the distance of the top picture? about how far away is it? Is this your closest neighbor?

  8. Joel says:

That’s probably my geographically closest neighbor not counting Ian, yeah. By the road it actually takes a while to get there.

  9. Joel says:

May I ask how you access your Internet?

Hotspot on a smartphone. Doesn’t always work, but it gets me by.

Used to have a satellite dish. That was a real pain in the ass but it predated portable hotspots.

uh, is that a creekbed right behind your house?

  11. Joel says:

Only rarely. That’s a gully , leading to a straightened and bermed ditch. Hasn’t overflowed toward the cabin since I fixed the ditch, if that’s what you’re thinking. And even if the occasional flood overwhelms the berm, that’s a major reason why the cabin is raised on piers.

    ok, i feel better
