Guess who got featured in Forbes!

Our old friend and friend’o’the’blog Ian McCollum got interviewed in fergod’s sake Forbes.com about his Forgotten Weapons channel! It’s not a particularly well-written article, but it’s friendly and respectful.

Is it a cool, weird world out there, or what?

Hope it’s a nice article, but I absolutely refuse to turn off my add blocker to read anything.

    Yeah . . . curmudgeon for sure. 😉

  2. Paul Joat says:

I was able to read it with uBlock origin running, and it wasn’t a bad article.

  3. Zelda says:

I didn’t have to. Give it a try.

  4. No one deserves the recognition more than that McCollum kid.

  5. Tim McCann says:

Ian McCollum’s video are very good! I really enjoy his on site video’s featuring WWI locations and weapons. A hell of a lot of research goes into making each show. I am proud to be a sponsor of this show.

Thanks for posting this Joel. The article wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

  7. RCPete says:

I’m still running the same adblocker (AB-Latitude) that Forbes used to block, but it’s now viewable. I think they got the hint, or just figured that web advertising revenue wasn’t worth it any more.

  8. Ii just got Ian’s book in the mail today. I noted that in the credits he thanks you for mercilessly attacking his writing?.

  9. Joel says:

I was one of at least two copy editors who got a shot at whatever parts of Ian’s ego the technical editors had left intact. I wish to report that he took it all quite manfully. Some writers become drama queens when they think their beautiful baby is being attacked.

Glad the books finally shipped and I hope you enjoy it. I think it’s excellent.

  10. Malatrope says:

I got mine, and I think it’s excellent. I’m raising a glass to many more (it’s not just the French who made weapons, ya know…)!

  11. Wayne Dygert says:

I’m delighted to see my most excellent taste reflected in ANY mainstream venue. Thanks for sharing this Joel.
