Ian’s new Willys has a little problem.

…It’s compensating for its small penis.

A milestone! What was once a pile several piles of parts is now a genuine ’46 Jeep that confidently starts and stops and goes forward and back. Naturally, this being Ian, the next step was mounting the gun.

Bastard’s got all the cool stuff.

I wonder if recoil will loosen up the mount?

Bitching! Now to find a sand dune and do a ‘Rat Patrol’ jump . . .

    Joel,

Very nice! I drove a later version of the Willy’s back in the early seventies while in the Canadian military. The vehicle techs did a similar mount for a GPMG (Browning 1919 in 7.62MM) with the thought that it could be used while driving (rat patrol) but after repeated firing the mount tore out because it was not secured directly to the frame only the body. I have to say that it looked pretty and was very exciting for a while.

I am sure that Ian has this all worked out and that he will have a lot of fun. Some folks have the neatest toys, I am very envious.

Wait, you’re in the Saguaro Belt? I always had you figured for further north…

I never said I live where the Jeep is now…

Ouch. That never occurred to me. 😎

To the stake with the heretic!
