I polished off that box of fifty Wolf rounds and then (sob) mag-dumped almost a whole box of the good stuff as fast as I could – and the Arex worked just fine.

So there’s just something about most 115-grain FMJ that it doesn’t like, and that’s good – in a way, I tell myself – since that’s not what I carry the gun with. I’m reminded of back during the lockdown when I went a long time not able to buy primers for my .44 reloads, and was stuck with 2 bricks of very old primers that had been badly stored and weren’t reliable, and that was actually better for practice because I never knew when the revolver would go click instead of bang and I just decided malfunction drills are good too.
As long as the pistol is reliable with the ammo I actually walk around with, I am content. In fact I’ve grown rather fond of the Slovenian Diva. Now if I could just get the optic to stop working loose…

Kinda good, though. The POI will be different for lighter bullets, so this forces you to use the same ammo weight for practice and carry. Cheaper 124’s can be had than that top-shelf stuff. Happy you found the issue
Y’know, on second look, those Elites don’t look long enough to be 124’s. Mebbe just the more ‘oomph’ of the high priced spread cycles better. The Wolf (& some other Eastern European loads) were loaded rather heavily, which would obviously give a stronger push for cycling. Still, a heavier bullet may accomplish the same end.
Just fyi trump was target of assignation attempt in PA he was hit but is ok
It’s good to learn that the firearms issue has been resolved, but it’s a shame you had to do a mag dump with the pricey stuff. So, will the next step be getting the dies and reloading the 9MM?
The next concrete step is to get at least a little more of the good stuff. I didn’t expect to have to expend so much qualifying the pistol as useable. Can’t happen till next month soonest, unless the local shop gets some in. But while I’m there it wouldn’t hurt to see about dies, bullets and primers for reloading. I’ve been collecting my brass all along.
Try 124 grain range/fmj ammo. Range ammo is cheap, not seeing the logic behind 115gr.
Practice with 124gr fmj, run the occasional magazine of carry ammo to confirm reliability.
