So we can expect action any time now, right?

That whitehouse.gov petition demanding protection parity for the children of politicians has crossed well over the 25,000-signature threshold. Has Sidwell Friends been declared a gun-free zone yet?

Oh, wait! Says here it’s a non-issue, since the school doesn’t have armed guards. Just, you know, security guards who may or may not be armed, and an entire Secret Service detail. Which apparently isn’t the same thing at all, in some parallel universe known only to journalists.

They raised the petition threshold up to 100,000 signatures in 30 days.

The logic seems to be that the secret service is there only to protect Obama’s kids…so, if someone does decide to shoot up the school, the ss takes Obama’s kids and split, leaving everyone else to fend for themselves? Yep, I think Elitest hypocrite is the nicest thing to call Obama…
