As he often does when he visits, Ian brought something unusual with him for a Forgotten Weapons video. After we shot the range footage, of course we had to shoot the rifle.
And to my pleasure, I found I actually could this time. It’s gotten to where the only rifle I can shoot with any serious hope of hitting the mark is my scoped Browning, because I can’t hit what I can’t see and I could no longer see through an aperture sight. The Browning’s a lightweight .308 boltie: One does not fire it for the fun of shooting.
But I recently got these new “really old guy” glasses, and I could actually sort of see the target through the aperture. Which meant I could hit it, more often than not. So that’s an improvement.
Thanks again to those who contributed to the Joel’s Eyes fund, which paid for the glasses.
But never forget, boys and girls, …
