Tell me again how cops will refuse to enforce stupidly unjust laws?

Because that’s my very favorite fairy tale.

Cops: Man violates new gun laws with 2 extra bullets in magazine

The troopers determined the gun, a .40-caliber pistol, was legally registered and possessed. However, when the troopers inspected the pistol, its magazine contained the nine bullets – New York’s Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Actonly allows seven bullets per magazine.

  1. Robert Evans says:

Ever read Joseph Wambaugh’s classic cop novel “The Choirboys?” In that one when it came time to break the will of the choirboys (cops who gathered in MacArthur park to drink and fuck cop groupies) and get one of them to rat out the others, the police brass worked on the eldest of them, the one closest to his retirement, and threatened to take it away from him. He broke. Principles don’t put food on the table.

  2. Look at that Pig – walking upright on two feet! And how many rounds did he likely have in his magazine at the very same time?

Maybe these oathkeeper cops who work in these jurisdictions should start a voluntary downsizing of their own magazine capacities to match that of those they’re ‘serving’. Might make the brass uncomfortable if they were public about it. (prob’ly just get ’em fired…)

I’m curious – If they determined he was legally carrying the pistol, what gave them probable cause to search the magazine?
