Positive feedback can be funny.

Why is the chainsaw post getting so damned popular? Every day it seems more and more search terms end up leading people to that dumb post. It isn’t even all that informative. I ended up repackaging it as a freebie .pdf just to salve my conscience. I don’t know how many people download it, but visits to its page indicate it’s quite outselling the solar ebooklet.

Turns out positive feedback has come to TUAK. Go to Google and ask just about any chainsaw-related question, and that post will show up on the first result page. The more hits it gets, the higher it climbs in the Google ranks…and the more hits it gets. As senseless as a Potemkin village, but there it is.

Missed opportunity, I guess. I offered my self defense booklet free to anyone who sent me an email and asked for it. So far, I’ve sent out more than 4,000 of them. Should have asked for at least a buck… Oh well. But I enjoy talking to some who ask for it, and have questions, comments or concerns, so much that I’ll keep giving it away. 🙂

Maybe it is positive feedback. Perhaps it is genuine feedback on the most succinct summary of chainsaw-fu on the intertubes today.
