Hey, remember the Obama administration? Remember how loudly everyone used to laugh when Obama boasted about how ‘open’ his admin was, when in fact whistleblowers had to worry about disappearing into a CIA resort in Yemen?
Well, now the republicans are in charge, and guess what? Whistleblowers are bad guys again.
Let the firings begin then. Trump’s enemies within. If you can’t do your job professionally and you leak unauthorized information to whomever you please, you should be hammered. We’ve been far too soft on leakers and examples need to be made.
Both sides do the same stupid shit the same stupid way, just with the emphasis on some different syllable. And voters keep buying the bullshit. Over and over, world without end.
There are legal ways to do whistle blowing, and there are illegal ways to do so. Mr. Snowden chose the illegal way because he had clearly seen that the LEGAL way did nothing worthwhile. In fact, the legal whistle blowers were punished, in direct violation of the law.
In the current situation, none of the actions by the fedgov employees seem to be whistle blowing. Instead, they are nothing more than insubordination, refusing to follow legal direction from their bosses. Why don’t y’all go to work for somebody, try that, and see what happens?
Now it is indeed possible that there may be some TRUE whistle blowers in government who are trying to follow law and work through the legal process, but simply because one wants to call whining “whistle blowing” does not make it so.
I like how everytime we get a new president people start to ridicule the previous president while saying the new president is the greatest thing since our last new president but 8 years later they will be doing the same thing…. Its like that old saying i say right now the world is amazing perfect and we know what we are doing right… But damn what were we thinking in the 80s… Get it… We always say omg what were we thinking back then… But never say Omg what are we thinking right now……
Big J might i reccomend watching southpark cartoon from say season 8 or 9 southpark is one of the smartest comedies of the last 20 years… And they are not biased.
