“No gun owner will lose their gun,” said House Minority Leader Lawrence Cafero Jr., a Norwalk Republican. “No gun owner will lose their magazines.”
Not until they’re registered, anyway…
How will they register a magazine? And how many Connecticut gun owners will believe a politician’s lies?

So this means the next Lanza will have to register his newly acquired guns after he kills his mother and steals her firearms? Is there a window for registration, like within two days of the theft, leaving plenty of time for a same-day school massacre? And how does requiring thieving murderers to register their loot square with the Haynes decision that says criminals don’t have to register (self-incrimination protection, you know)?
My brain hurts…
I wonder if these “no ones” being promised that they won’t lose their guns, are the same “no ones” who were promised that they wouldn’t lose their current health care coverage after .govcare was passed.
Oh, hey….we’ve got a mag registry bill coming up here in the peoples republic of where you had the brains to escape from.
I think it’s set for today. I keep asking how I’ll register a bunch of items not bearing serial numbers. I also wondered what will happen as alway happens when I am looking through boxes, crates, cartons, foot lockers and trunks out in my garages I find a post registry magazine(or 20) that I had forgotten decades ago. I used to think that was like a christmas bonus; do I now become an instant felon?
Hopefully I won’t be a resident of this state much longer.
If this won’t result in any guns or mags being taken away from anyone, then what’s the point of the law?
