AWOMAN

A Hebrew colloquialism roughly translated as “I am an idiot.” Commonly used in the Hebrew phrase “Amen and awoman,” meaning “Verily, I am an idiot.”

    But Joel, all non-gendered terms must be made gendered, and all gendered terms must be made gender-neutral. It’s only logical. Just wait for “Amen and Awomen” to become “Amenx”.

    Allow me to de-elitist the entry: I believe pronunciation ah-men vs. aye-men is context-dependent; i.e., ah-men concludes the formal prayer to not get shot, while “Aye-men, brother!” is the response to “Wholey Sheet, we didn’t get shot!”

    Michael: Amenix is the brand of gas station you find when you’re running on fumes. Cenex (a real brand, dunno if you have ’em where you are) is when you’re smart enough to believe the gauge.
