Back in the saddle again?

Just got a call from the guy at the repair shop. It’s possible – just barely possible, in this frequently dysfunctional little place – that the Jeep will be running under its own power as early as tomorrow. And that the cost will be no more than is currently in the bank, saved up for…Jeep tires.

Sigh, but better than the alternative, still possible given this shop’s track record, that it will come out MORE than is currently in the bank.

Given the mode of transport I’ve been using lately, it occurs to me my title choice is almost exactly inappropriate. 🙂

About Joel

You shouldn't ask these questions of a paranoid recluse, you know.

No surprise, looks like crank sensor.

Yup. That’s sure what it sounded like. You’ll keep us updated with the latest news?

Seeing as how the funds were for tires, & not repairs, it seems to me that we readers could make with the Christmas-y thing & rebuild the filthy lucre balance. I do believe that’s what Christmas is partly for–helping (although I’m not one to ask, ’cause I hate Christmas & people both, but you’re Joel, not people. Take that however you want, but I think you know what I mean).
I’ve been thinking of buying my first-ever AR-type rifle. If assisting means I have to delay that a bit, that just means I’ll have more time to research the purchase. It ain’t like I’m unarmed around this place.
Pitch in, people. It’s almost winter, & Uncle Joel needs to lay in supplies, I’m sure. Hell, I get enough education & entertainment out of this blog to think it well worth it.

If shipping wasn’t murder I might have a set of tires I could send. Anyone driving from Minnesota to Middle of Nowhere anytime soon?
