Care package! Missed it by that much.

Coincidentally or not, it contains the precise button switch I wanted for replacing the broken bit in the Jeep’s ignition switch.

The. Precise. Switch.

And as it happens it would not have cost me a thing to wait another week before taking the Jeep to town, barring something else breaking, because the shop owner in town hasn’t even opened the poor thing’s hood this week. There’s an old joke: “He may not be very good, but he sure is slow.” Now I really wish I’d waited, but who was to know.

I also got a gift from Landlady, who knows my penchant for funny metal signs..
