Check out the most laidback bobcat I ever saw.

…out my bedroom window.

He knew I was there, he looked right at me when I shifted. And to my shock he hung around long enough for me to go get the camera. He wasn’t in a hurry to end the evening fun, I guess.

For a while he looked like he was thinking of pouncing on something – they have more or less the same body language as a housecat* – then decided “screw it” and sauntered quite unhurriedly down the driveway.

* A freakishly huge, muscular housecat

Nice photos Joel. If anyone ever questions your need to carry a .44, show them these pictures.

Who knows, maybe you should leave some bits of meat out for him to stay nearby to eradicate the rat population. That is probably what has him in your area to begin with..

  4. Mark Matis says:

Well that’s one way to control the rat population!!!

Like most felines, they are curious when they aren’t being threatened. Beautiful animals.

Well, not like “having a dog,” certainly, but if compatible arrangements could be made, having occasional visits to deal with the rodent population might not be a totally bad thing.

I’d still the .44 close at hand, tho…..

To the stake with the heretic!
