So I came down the ridge on the east side of the Lair this morning at about eight ayem after spending an hour on a very pleasant morning walky. Came into sight of the Lair and was reminded of something Landlady said last weekend…

She called my cabin “cute.” Cute!
I ask you…

Cute and smart build ! I like !
Cute is in the eye of the beholder and in the eyes of this beholder, your cabin is cute in a functional manly way. Just be glad your lair doesn’t have wheels and masquerade as one of those “tiny homes” that the hipsters love.
Joel, you seem to have a regular pattern with all the battery tending, chicken chores and distributed food storage.. I am curious if you do this on foot or if it requires the jeep (or now electric steed) to accomplish? I realize there are few “roads” ( if one can call them that) out there, speaking of which, how did your cross wash path hold up this winter, seem to recall adventures with steep banks and potholes in the recent past. 🙂 And yeah, the expanded residence is “cute”, no doubt about that.
Everything involving feed sacks, water bottles or other heavy loads, or in mud, snow or heavy weather requires the Jeep. Everything else I can do afoot or on the ebike. I like to take at least one long walk daily when feasible, usually in the morning. For everything else the bike is handy, weather and terrain permitting.
Since the bike is new I haven’t really developed any habits concerning its use. It’s been in storage through the winter but it’s beginning to look like an early spring so I’ll probably start using it more as it comes to mind.
