Bill St. Clair has made a complete copy of George’s last book Bad Patterns available here. It’s a pretty good idea for immortalizing a book when you just have the dead-tree version available and there won’t be any more.
I converted my .pdf of Symbols Flow to .epub, and the formatting went entirely to hell. So I’ve given up on my promising career as a computer jock, and simply posted the .pdf to the Freebies page. Go there and click on the Symbols Flow title for download. It’s only about half a meg. Somebody let me know if you have problems indicating I screwed something up.
I have kneejerk ethical problems with doing this, so let me formulaically add that I have no publication rights to this document at all. I and others have tried to contact George’s heirs and assigns, if any, without luck but if anyone with legitimate copyright claims to this document sees this and objects, they can contact me immediately and I’ll pull it. But I find Symbols Flow a beautiful book (more beautiful than Bad Patterns, frankly, but tastes differ) and do not wish to see it vanish from the earth.
I’ve been greatly enjoying reading through this, thanks. Since I have a little spare time while I am reading it I’ve taken the opportunity to convert it to epub and reformat while I am reading. I’m only about 81 pages in right now, but I’ll get a copy to you when I am done. I can’t promise that it will be professional, but I will make it as true to the original as I am capable.

This is the book converted to .epub and edited as true to the original as I could do. If you have an image that should be the cover pass it along and I’d be happy to add it to the file. Anyone with more skills in this area is welcome to fix anything I may have missed.
