Okay, so I was wr not as right as I usually am about the condition of the wash. I judged it by the condition of the crossing near Landlady’s place, which wasn’t torn up bad at all. But having given it a couple of days to dry out, I took a drive through it this morning and wow.
Every time this happens I have to find new routes around the boulders because they’re all shifted around. That’s no biggy. But I do resent that Ian’s range now needs all new range markers. The 100, 200 and 300-yard markers are still present, though not where I put them. But the 25, 50 and 75-yard markers are just gone. The boys and I drove all the way to D&L’s crossing, a good mile downstream, and they’re nowhere to be found. Hung up in a snag somewhere miles away, I reckon.
Bother. It hasn’t run this hard in a couple of years.
