I saw this:
Cornel West: ‘No Tears’ for ‘Vanilla’ Sandy Hook
And since the title invoked the name of Cornel West, one of my very favorite tenured racists, I could just barely believe he’d finally popped his last brain cell and had actually said something just like that. So I clicked on the link.
But what the article claims he actually said was:
“We can’t just shed tears for those on the vanilla side of town. But it’s a good thing that we now have a discussion on gun control. We need one on drone control. Not a peep, not a mumbling word when black folk get shot. But now, Newtown, Connecticut, vanilla side — low and behold we got a major conversation. That’s wonderful. Each life is precious, but it just upsets me when we’re so deferential.”
Which, while perhaps not the most sensitive words anybody ever uttered, isn’t the same thing at all.
Note, please, that this is Breitbart.com, current favorite font of wisdom for all right-thinking conservatives. Who would never, ever think of twisting a headline, because the bad guys do that.
Yet another example of how to become your own enemy.

A tenured professor couldn’t use “Lo and behold” correctly. Spelled it “low.”
