…because all I know about him is what people have told me. People with clear agendas, who want me to believe what I think I know. Which means I know nothing.
Nevertheless, for what it’s worth I note in passing that the Bradley Manning trial is finally starting today. After three years, it does make me wonder about that “speedy trial” thing. What took so long? Don’t ask don’t tell, baby.

It took 3 years to rig a case against him. Maybe, or it took 3 years for his defense team to get ready. He is either a traitor or the biggest hero the U.S. Army ever had.
Personaly I think his is simply the fall guy. They found one relatively insignificant player they could pin the classified leaks on, thus the government saving face. I am pretty sure during trial they will blame him for classified leaks dating back to nuclear secrets being sold to Israel. Manning is doomed, the trial will be rigged so he can not win in any way, shape or form.
There is a lot wrong with this. But ‘speedy trial’ isn’t one of them.
When one enlists, one looses a lot of civil rights. Including that ‘speedy trial’ thing. At least it’s not in the UCMJ.
Sucks, but he agreed to it.
