…and then I’ll study how to clean bird shit off a newly-painted wall.

She has been a very busy and diligent mom but she did not like me standing there fiddling with the camera for so long. I’m surprised she’s in the photo because even as I lowered the camera she flew to a nearby bush.
Sigh – it rained hard in the early afternoon and then just dripped for the rest of the day.

Monsoon is not my favorite season. I don’t dislike it as much as winter, though. For the record.

Glad to see the Phoeeblettes are still alive. According to The Internet, they should be flying two to three weeks after they popped. And it sure is a shame how that water treatment on your porch deck isn’t doing its job…

What are you talking about? It’s working fine.
Ah, but that deck is now far more slippery than it would have been without the coating.
And it should be fairly easy to clean off that bird poop when the time comes. That paint hasn’t had all that much time to weather and chalk.
The birds are cute, a little messy but cute.
Speaking of messy, the easiest way to get rid of the bird crap is with a steam cleaner but I don’t think that’s an option for you. So you could try giving the crap a little soak with hot water via a sponge. If there is still some bird poop on the wall, wring out the sponge and spray the poop with a little Windex and wipe it down. This should clean that bird poop off easy enough.
