    Funny how homosexuality so often crops up in magical or super-scientific fictional settings. One would think a cure would’ve been found in either of those environments.

    Of course then authors couldn’t virtue signal about how “woke” they are by including sympathetic, heroic, well-adjusted homosexual characters for all the benighted straights to either hate or idolize.
