…and predict that the Dark Brandon look isn’t going to be a keeper. For the first time in my entire life I’m suddenly interested in what a single photo op does to a politician’s poll numbers.

Scary Manifesto that keeps getting pushed down on the sidebar by filthy capitalism!
They say that Louis XIV had the inscription Ultima Ratio Regum cast into all the cannon of the French Army. It means “The Ultimate Argument of Kings,” and that always struck me as one of the most honest and up-front things any ruler or would-be ruler ever said. “We can dress it up prettier than this, but when it comes down to the unvarnished truth this is what it’s about: You’ll do as I say or I’ll send my goons to kill you.”
I thought about that for a long time. If there’s an ultimate argument, it seems only logical that there must be an ultimate answer. For years I thought the ultimate answer must be the bullets in my rifle, but it never seemed quite right. I’ve got bullets – he’s got frigging Cannon Balls. I mean, if there were three hundred million rifles throwing bullets at him, then maybe. But we all know that’s not going to happen. So if there’s an ultimate answer to his ultimate argument, it sure as hell ain’t bullets.
It finally came to me – and that’s when I abandoned the city and most of my stuff, and gave all that was behind me a good stiff Randian Shrug.
The ultimate answer to kings is not a bullet, but a belly laugh.

AREA OCHO Blog put it best:
This nation is separated into armed camps. They are polarized like no other time since the 1860s:
You have the hard-core Communists of Antifa, BLM, and their cronies. They are armed, violent, and just itching to get their revolution on. They are using the J6 protest as their Reichstag fire, an excuse to seize power.
V for Vendetta was the first thing that came to my mind, too, Joel. Or that historic You-Know-Who with the You-Know-What red-and-black symbol we are never supposed to bring up in online arguments.
And did everybody notice the ominous horror-movie, from-below lighting?
To put the cartoonish and senile Biden in front of such a display of tyranny, and have him call half the country dangerous extremists …
I shudder for what will become of us if these shadowy folk remain in power.
😀 Yeah, I could go with High Chancellor Sutler or Godwin my own post.
I see they are already trying to walk back what he said last night. I know what he said though, I have a pretty good command of the English language and it was clear. His handlers have massively misread the room and have gone to far to fast. The damage has been done though and I fear that their foot solders Antifa, which incidentally is coming off two years of reorganization funding and training, and what ever guise of BLM is current will be hitting the streets.

Makes guy want to put pretty much put everything else on hold and go through his preps section by section looking for gaps. It would seem time is growing short.
Joel: On a lighter note: having just perused my usual gallery of deplorable websites which seem to have a healthy grasp of Our Current Situation, it is most refreshing to come here to see the proper use of the poor, abused apostrophe and various homonyms (there, their, etc.). Also, the first pic here almost made me spill my Bloody Mary. Wow!
Robert: One of my favorite things about Joel’s Gulch is the almost perfect grammar, syntax, and punctuation. No one is perfect, but I’ve rarely seen better editing in any online (or offline for that matter) medium.:-)
jabrwok: Yeah, whut u sed.
Seriously, the jarring misuse of punctuation and, OMG werds, really detracts from some commenters’ postings.
Joel’s blog is an oasis in an illiterate desert.
Aw, shucks…
I was going to say something but I’m just an old country boy that didn’t even graduate high school and never made more than $250k per year and the grammer nazis will surely have my scalp. Old Joe ain’t much for humility either .
Ya know…..they REALLY no longer care what us peons think, believe or want.
They are LARGE and IN CHARGE. And they plan on staying there. By whatever
means required. 2020 was just ONE of the times the left has stolen an election.
They have been perfecting the means to do so and it’s reached the point where they
can pretty much steal ANY office they choose to and do so with impunity. There isn’s ANYONE in the country in a position to do anything to them….at least not legally.
Rumor has it that Anita Dunn was the author of the venue’s symbology. And, I echo what others have said about your grammar and writing ability.
Watching the Twitter meltdown over a 24-minute speech by a US president speaking what many Americans consider to be the truth about MAGA, I gotta get some more popcorn… 🍿🤣
just a by-the-way, after-the-fact, and so-what:
not having seen this event, even virtually, I was later given to understand that it was NOT carried live by the old (analog-gone-digital?) MSM, but instead was shown only on CNN and MSNBC. Wait – what? Cable everywhere?
… enought to make one consider moving to a desert nearby.
