David Hogg pushes Laura Ingraham boycott after Fox News host taunts him over college admissions

I’m nothing remotely like a Laura Ingraham fanboy but I fail to see the logic behind a massive advertiser boycott over such a paltry shot as this…

You know what they say you should do if you can’t take the heat? Little man, you do not yet know how hot that kitchen can get.

Typical leftie . . . “The First Amendment protects me, but not thee!”

  2. Hogg is coproach spawn. The feces doesn’t fall far from the anus.

  3. Claire says:

Yeah, like advertisers who support Fox and Laura Ingraham are going to boycott them because she said something snide about a puling little progressive.

And what’s with this “4.1” GPA (down from 4.2 yesterday, it seems). I must be behind the times, surely I must be. But how does one get a GPA above 4.0?

Are the extra fractional points like a participation trophy or something?

  4. 4.x comes from grading systems wherein A+ grades carry a weight above 4.0. It’s not a particularly new thing, but it is becoming more common, in part to better distinguish between the upper and lower bounds of the A student range. The other part of course is the massive amount of grade inflation that propagates the entire US school systems. When even terrible students are able to maintain a 3.7 GPA, 4.0 starts to mean less and less.

One article I read said his school uses a 5 point scale, not sure if it’s true or not. But you know the only reason he brought it up was so some leftist would make a big stink and they would let him in.

  6. Claire says:

Thank you, iDungeonCrawl and Cookie. Now I feel enlightened.

And egads, it does appear that several sponsors did pull their ads. Mostly Silicon Valley cowards.

Hmmm, wonder if those boycotting advertisers have any clue how little “we” probably ever buy from their companies. Every time I see that name, Hogg… I visualize the feral pigs in the south. Bad, bad mama…

  8. MamaLiberty says:

OOps, Laura seems to have bowed to the PC crap and “apologized” for her tweet.

Ingraham appeared to take back her comments Thursday afternoon, hours after Hogg sent a tweet calling for advertisers to boycott her Fox News show. Hogg’s tweet generated thousands of retweets and resulted in at least two brands promising to sever its relationship with Ingraham.

“On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland,” Ingraham tweeted. She also tried to curtail the damage by noting Hogg had appeared on her show after the shooting.

  9. Joel says:

Well, that was probably a mistake.

  10. Judy says:

Getting one A- leaves you with a grade point average of 3.999. Boy, was my daughter disgusted.

  11. Such utter snowflake bs. There was a reason he was rejected .

  12. Claire says:

Seems there now might be a backlash boycott against those advertisers who pulled their support:

Ben Shapiro has some good things to say, including: “You may not like what Ingraham said. You may disagree with it. I did. But it isn’t remotely CLOSE to the level of viciousness with which Hogg has attacked people who disagree with him.”

  13. Sendarius says:

“… upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland”

What, she’s apologising to the dead now?

  14. FDD says:

Why is anyone listening to this snowflake?
He was not even at the school when the shooting happened.

  15. Joel says:

Honestly, anybody who can even use the words “brave victim” in a sentence is not thinking at all.
