I’m not a big Trump fan but I am a boomer and probably a rube…

So maybe I should bend a principle and vote Trump after all. If only to wipe that look off Don Lemon’s face…

Somebody ought to tell these very smart people that this is not how you persuade others to your point of view.

Ah, the Tolerant Left. We know it’s true because they tell us it is. All the time.

Drop these pinheads off in the middle of White Sands Missile range…and see what happens.

Lempn is a faggot communist, just like is hero, Hussein. And he is just as much of an empty suit. Never heard of that other guy, though.

  4. Kentucky says:

There’s sort of an echo of a statement about “deplorables” in here. Remember what the long term reaction to that was?

  5. Beans says:

The Republicans have already turned it into an election ad. Love it when the enemy cuts their own throats.

  6. Spud says:

I could never abide voting for that draft dodging, Yankee scum, carpet bagging Con man.

“So maybe I should bend a principle and vote…” don’t say things like that Joel. take 2 aspirins and walk the dog and call me in the morning if you still feels like that.

Bill, Mr. Lempn thanks you for your support of the Democrats in the next election by not voting Republican. 🙂

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke

“If you are part of a society that votes, then do so. There may be no candidates and no measures you want to vote for … but there are certain to be ones you want to vote against. In case of doubt, vote against. By this rule you will rarely go wrong.” – Robert A. Heinlein, Time Enough for Love

  9. Joel says:

On the other hand history teaches us that reliably voting for republicans only encourages them to complacently cooperate with democrats, since they’re not really different groups in terms of overall longterm policy. Keeping republican politicians scared for their phony baloney jobs is the only way to keep them even pretending to be on the reservation.

  10. Paul Joat says:

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

“I believe if you vote you have no right to complain, people like to twist that around, I know. They say if you don’t vote you have no right to complain but where is the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest and incompetent people and they get into office and they screw everything up, well you are responsible for what they have done, you caused the problem, you voted them in, You have no right to complain, I on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, Is no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain as loud as I wanted at the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.” – George Carlin

  11. tamslick says:

“Why won’t you ignorant cousin-humping rednecks vote for us?”

  12. bill says:

Mike, I am sorry I said anything.
I am as apolitical as anybody else you may know. Politics usually get avoided at Joel’s place (in a serious manner at least) and for that I am grateful. I did not take Joel’s comment seriously (due to having read Joel’s stuff for almost 20 years …maybe I was wrong? HA!!) and my comment was not serious. My attempt at humor on this thread has failed. Politics are all entertainment for me as I feel no control over any of it. It is all a joke and I feel for those who take it so seriously. Now, I must go find my bottle of Aspirin…

  13. Mike says:

@ Joel, if you feel that not voting makes a statement against the system, then don’t vote. The only thing you will be doing in your protest is to make people like Don Lemon smile.

@ Bill, you have nothing to apologize about. You were simply stating an opinion and the humour wasn’t lost on me, I was just baiting Joel as I sometimes do because in the area of voting we agree to disagree. If there is anyone who should apologize, it’s me.

    Thanks Mike
