It has been such a mild winter, with such an early spring, that I haven’t lit the fire in weeks. This morning just before dawn it actually got down slightly below freezing…
And rather than going to the trouble of lighting the woodstove to take the chill off the cabin, I reached for this thing I dragged home yesterday…
I have a different application entirely in mind for it, but I brought it inside yesterday to see if it even works. It does, and there’s pathetic little left in that tiny propane bottle anyway, so why not expend it in a manner that doesn’t involve me cutting wood?
Heh – for the record and not to my surprise, it’s not enough to heat the Lair in any reasonable time. But it’ll be fine in a smaller space.

I imagine you could use your newly-polished gas plumbing skills to adapt that thing to one of your BBQ tanks. It should run virtually forever on one.
Oh, I already have everything I need for running one on a bigger bottle. And I have a bigger Mr. Heater that I used to use in just that way. That’s the way I heated the Interim Lair, such as it was ever heated. This smaller one would likely run several days, though hardly forever.
They do a dandy job in the deer blind or on the ice fishing shanty back in Michigan
