Geiger Counter Guy is an Elvis Presley fan, a fact which I don’t hold against him since at least he shares my loathing for one particular Presley song. We were just talking about it the other day. (Seriously, you try growing up a white kid in Detroit, in the same universe as this stupid song.)
But here’s a pretty good use for it, if it must be used…
And of course if that song hadn’t existed, this one could never have been born.

Good heavens. I knew badgers were tough, mean and fearless, but that’s amazing! I have a little badger living on the bluffs behind me. I’ve only seen him/her? a few times, but am always careful not to crowd it.
Now I’m wondering if it/they will be a problem for my chickens. Can’t imagine what sort of fence I’d need to build to keep out that critter.
As I understand it, honey badgers aren’t really badgers. Though yes, our (regular) badgers have been known to prey on unprotected chickens and eggs.
Thanks… that’s very comforting. LOL Remember that there are all sorts of predators out here, so the badger will certainly have plenty of competition. Luckily, I have no qualms about shooting any of them. I do hope the mountain lion will continue to be content with deer, however.
The one badger I’ve met out here, I promptly shot in the head.
From what I’ve seen, there’s very little that will stop a determined badger from a targeted meal. They are digging machines and tough as nails. Good-looking critters, though, I’ll admit.
I’d shoot any that got even remotely close to my animals.
