Maybe I should treat bobcats with more respect?

Bobcats are rather more common around here than mountain lions, though rarely seen. And when I do see them they’re usually receding over a rise as fast as they can slink.

The single exception was when the boys treed one, and it was very small – like a very large housecat – and clearly wanted no trouble. Please just go away.

So I think of bobcats as harmless curiosities on the rare occasions when I think of them at all.

At the moment I’m thinking maybe I’ve misjudged them

For the record, I’ve caught a shark before. But I’d have gotten extra-special badass points if I’d done it with my teeth.
