I’ve had no less than three complaints that attempts at commenting on the new site are being routed elsewhere. I don’t know how widespread it is, but three people going to the trouble they did to complain means it’s probably really widespread.
I still don’t know how to fix this. I’ll take any suggestions I can get, but at present I just don’t have a clue. It’s probably something simple, but I just can’t understand why it’s so intermittent. Some people can comment and some can’t. Hope to find a solution soon.
















































If I had to guess (and I will find out soon), the newer versions of unadulterated WordPress route all comments through JetPack, which is actually at a different domain than your site. Most browsers should handle the two redirects just fine, but I can see how various settings on the commenters’ computers could potentially pose problems.
About the only way for you to fix that is to turn off the commenting features of JetPack, or find someway to programmatically short it out.
Yeah, pressing “Post Comment” results in a redirect to “http://jetpack.wordpress.com/jetpack-comment/”, which then redirects back here.
