I’ve converted some things from .pdf to epub, including George Potter’s Symbols Flow. Alas, when I did a search for “free epub readers for Linux” I fell into that twilight zone of “It’s easy! All you have to do is (something I don’t even start to understand)” that suggests to me there’s a special hell reserved specifically for Linux developers. I picture it offering detailed and foolproof instructions on how to get laid by Swedish bikini models, but the instructions only come in Sumerian or Yeniseian or something.
Anyway: I have some epub files I’d like to put on the blog, but I’m not able to check them for content and format. Can anybody out there give me a hand?

Are you using one of the ubuntu variants? If so, you might try this program, it’s fairly straight forward and in their software download center: https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/fbreader/
I use calibre for my ebooks, a bit clunky but not difficult to use and can be installed through linux mint’s software manager.
Firefox has a pugin http://www.epubread.com/en/ if your using it or have it installed
I’ve been using Sigil to read and edit .epub files on my computer. I actually converted all of your books to epub for easier reading on my phone. I’d be happy to give you what I converted, thought with fair warning that the conversion wasn’t perfect. I still managed to read all of em though.
Okay, thanks. I loaded epubread. It is indeed easy to install. Alas, the format of the epub version of Symbols Flow is utter shite.
Give a look at Calibre: http://calibre-ebook.com/
Free, which is good, has an ereader that works with multiple formats, and you can change .mobi (for instance) into .epub or .pdf, whatever you prefer.
