Private to domestic terrorists: You’ll need a theme song.

Allow me to be of service.

Be aware that this song may actually be NSFW. It’s incredible to me that they got away with recording it in 1963.

Many years later Leslie Fish recorded a greatly expurgated – almost entirely re-written – version.

There are other ‘questionable’ songs out there, recorded before this one. Almost anything by Julia Lee, here’s one:
Mom had a collection of her 45s.

Heh. A dirty mind is probably a plus in a mom.

Huh– learn something new every day–I was only acquainted with the Leslie Fish version, and thought she had written it. Now I’ll have to research the Glencoves

  4. Joel says:

Me too, until I stumbled on to this recording a couple of years ago.

The Glencoves sound exactly like all the other folk trios and quartets of that period. I don’t know anything about them. There were quite a few racy songs out there, but I never heard anything this rough.

To the stake with the heretic!
