Should’ve had a camera in my other hand…

I’m not really convinced the ladies are suffering from a red-meat deficiency, or even that a heavy diet of mice would be a good thing. But a mouse or two can’t hurt, since I know for a fact it won’t be their first rodeo.

I get about a mouse a day from under the Jeep’s hood on average, so I was optimistic that I’d have something for them first thing this morning. And so it was, and oh boy the ladies knew just what to do with that little gobbet of fur and flesh, yes they did. Two weren’t particularly interested but the others are having lots of fun chasing one another around and playing tug-of-war with it. So at a minimum they’ve got a playtoy while it lasts.

Chicken farming can be a gory business, yes it can. 🙂
