…and it was supposed to show us all how guns are bad and everything, because the bad guy had one and his victim did not.
I haven’t watched it, to be honest. Why bother? Numerous people have pointed out that the logic of the video seems to work better for making the opposite point of its intent, and I’m prepared to take their word for it.
Seems somebody took it to the next step, and amended the video to a more fitting conclusion. Heh.
A restraining order is an ugly piece of paper that can’t defend anyone against a determined aggressor. A Glock is an ugly piece of plastic and steel that can. Much better message. Thanks, Bloomy!

Too bad whoever made the video didn’t know how to hold a semi-automatic. With her thumbs that high on the slide, she got hurt. And I highly suspect she would not have made four shots holding it that way. sigh
Small matter, compared to the core message, but not insignificant. The visual message is conveyed in every detail.

FWIW, MamaLiberty, that high-thumb grip is how I tend to shoot. I think it makes for a pretty solid grip, and I’ve never been hurt by the slide because of it.
I’d like to see just how you hold it, Ian. Hard to picture how you can keep your thumbs away from that hot metal flashing by. I got “bit” by a slide when I first started shooting a semi-auto, and I’ve been very, VERY careful not to get anywhere near it again. 🙂 Or maybe your thumbs are just a lot tougher than those of this old lady. 🙂
